Dear Don,

If any body did want sympathy from you they wouldn't get it. Maybe its just as well for your logic is rather reasonable at times.

Thanksgiving Day and I'm exceedingly thankful at this present moment that I'm not a dyspeptic. There are twelve of us left at the Club and believe me - I'm laying it on good. Our turkey looks grand. I am privileged character and get in on the ?? dope being I'm stewardess and this is our menu

  • Turkey, Dressing, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Mashed potatoes, Squash, Olives, Jelly, Pickles, Apple-Nut-Celery Salad, Mince Pie, Coffee

School starts Monday. Gee I'll hate to get up early again but I'll be glad to get back to definite work. I guess we have to stay in in June now and make up time.

Did I tell you about my skating trip. Had a good time - was playing Shinny on the Ice or Hockey or whatever its called. Went to give the block a whang and landed on all fours on the ice. If I hadn't have known about it, they'd have been pronouncing it flu.

There are only two of us left at the House where I live and so I invited the one left to eat dinner at the club with me. This evening we are invited out for supper and to spend the evening. Such frivolity!

Got a letter from Edythe saying the kinks are pretty near out of her legs. She is planning to come back by Jan. 1. I miss her a thousand times more than I did Ariel [sic] last year.

Got a fine letter from Evelyn - her father nearly died with the flu followed by pneumonia. She said Doris Markley met Hanford McNider on the street in Paris just as each were hurrying for a different train. He grabbed her in his arms - was never so glad to see any one - good grabbing for Hanford eh? Wonder if he kissed her. Gee I'm getting sentimental now so must calm down a bit.

Your letter sure did make me laugh. I tho't I'd put things strong enof so you'd be spreading sympathy all over the place.

I'd have gone to Fargo for Thanksgiving if I'd have had twenty cents to my name but I didn't, so here I am.

Miss Fischer, the one who knows the Brown girls, went to Duluth this week and I feel along nite. She's the wettest thing. Keeps me doubled up laughing all the time.

There isn't a thing to write about - no movies - no shoes - no church! no school - everyone gone so I'll bid you a fond & affectionate farewell.

Hope you are well - happy, and eating lots. I am,

Sisterly love,
Leone
