Dear Don,

Nothing to do and nothing to say. Dr. says we can move about a bit today but I don't want to get heated up, cause chances for taking a bath are too slim. No one to give it to us and we have to wait until we are well.

My sickness got a rise out of Ruth and she sent me the things I sent and also a letter.

She said Dad gave Bob & Betty each $50 W.S.S. for Xmas. Ain't it grand? Guess its up to us to have a few kids to make a raise out of him. I'm surprised he'd send me a telegram, generous isn't Mable? I've only written him once or twice since last Sept. I dropped him a card and told him I had the flu, but I told him I expected to be teaching next week so he wouldn't have heart failure for fear I wanted money. I really don't expect to teach until the last of next week or the following for I don't want a relapse. If I should have one, I pray it will make short work of me.

The Dr. said I could get up now that my temp. has been normal for 2 or 3 days and I told him I hadn't been over 99. He laughed and afterwards the girls told me I was between 101 & 102 but they had told me 99.

Miss Gretschmann, the sewing teacher is teaching my classes. I guess she'll be glad when I get back cause she's not very keen about doing it.

The teacher who is so sick has a special nurse now and her two sisters came.

One of the girls is going for a walk so must close.

Write often.

Much love, Leone.
