Dear Don, I've got just 10,000 things to do so this letter will be brief but I want to track down to the P.O. before the mail goes. JE is out of town and I was only 15 min. late to school and now I'm going to take time out to go down to the P.O..
Last night the teachers had a Halloween party. Dressed up crazy. I dressed with freckles and a black tooth and my hair in a braid and acted swipe all evening. We ate apples and roasted marshmallows and sat around and told stories by the fire place.
Today is Halloween. Gosh if you were here we go out and tip over some body's car.
At the club tonite I'm putting a little extra stress on the dinner. We are going to have individual pumpkin pies and Edythe is making Halloween jack-o'-lanterns place cards Etc.
I expect to have brain fever tonight because I have all the bills to figure for this month for the boarding proposition. There are always some to crab you know. Edythe’s roommate and I aren't even speaking. Got rosey and dropped out of the club ‘cause she had to help serve and do dishes and all of the goll-darn crush. She turned around and began getting her meals up in my living room using my grill, dishes, tables, linens Etc. I simply locked up my room and as a result she is going over to Gilbert (her sisters) to eat. Everyone is scoring her good.
I hope your box arrived safely. I couldn't find an extra strong one. That may give you a little touch of Halloween.
It is a brisk day Out. Wish I could walk instead of teach. The ground is covered with snow and last night it shone like diamonds - made me have all the thrills of Christmas time.
Must get my supplies out now for work.
Much love,
Leone
