Dear Don,

Well I'm all perched up in the softest bed you ever could imagine. Stepped from our private bath rite into bed. Pretty swell!

Got your letter tonite and this is about the first changes I've had to tell you of my Season's Joys.

Well I haven't minded it one bit. Of course when I think of Betty growing up and I can't see her makes me pretty bluish but when I think of the home life it kind of counteracts my feeling.

Spent Christmas here in B. and we had a tree (there were four of us here and we had a tree and a nice Christmas dinner.

Went to Duluth on Sat and met Edythe Sunday morning. We staid until New Years p.m. Went to see "Hearts of the World." Gosh I got so nervous thot I'd have to leave. It's surely a wonderful picture & made me feel more thankful than ever the war is over and you were in the U.S.A.

Ate a turkey dinner at the Spalding on New Years.

I bought myself a kind of a good looking new blue georgette and silk taffeta dress.

Since we came home we've done nothing but sleep and settle. Gee moving is some job but I like being here just fine. Seems so good to have Edith back with me.

So Ruth thot Dad sent me money to come home. He sent me a telegram worded thusly "Don is going to be home wish you would come too" (only condensed in ten words.) Does that sound like money?

What did you get for Xmas? Oh I guess your present was condensed into a watch I forgot.

Ruth send me a silk shirt handkerchiefs and a pair of silk stockings. Elizabeth Muse sent me a silk collar, Edythe sent me five things the prettiest silk underskirt I about ever saw, a silk camisole (corset cover) a box of cookies of all kinds she made and a box of candy and a pretty satchel bag. Miss Fisher gave me a handkerchief, so did Mary McIntosh and one of the other girls from here One of the girls in town sent Edna (a girl who staid here) and me a Christmas box of cookies and another girl sent us a box of Liggetts chocolates another sent us a box of eats jelly, cake donuts, etc. and still another sent me a fruit cake. I sent Lela a box fut I didn't hear a word from her.

They will all be coming back Sat and Sunday. I sure hate to have school start. Its been so cold up here the last few days I hate to stick my head out. Its been 30 below and gosh but that's cold.

You missed my letter or at least you didn't answer my questions. I suppose the idea of coming up here now is a thing of the past.

You didn't answer my insurance questions at all.

Must close now and get to bed. Have lots of work in the a.m.

Write often.

Much love, Leone
