Dear Brother -

Just a hurried note to tell you I'm still alive but don't know how long I expect to remain this way.

The hot lunches have started and also the teacher's club & and believe me I'm getting a good taste of work now.

There isn't a place in down the Board could get for the club so the teachers are permitted to come to the Hot Lunch at noon & then we use the kitchen and dining room here at the school for dinner. All the supplies have to be kept separate and gosh it's a hell of a lot of work and some girls are always crabbing.

Gee I took some of Natures remedies and I'm not certain whether I can stay on this Assembly job. One of the kids just asked me to leave the room. I'm sure jealous of the advantages they have.

Oh I must tell you about my ailments. I'm sure you'd be glad to know and perchance you've ever been afflicted you may lend me some valuable information having starred in some of your veterinary courses and having once had that in your high ambitions this may be one of your special brands.

I have in the last few days contracted that un-comfortable little malady called "Protruding Pyles". I've come to the conclusion now that from the way Jessie Lewis walked she had a little touch of them. I went over to Doctor Bray and told my secrets to him and he gave a treatment that I'm sure will kill or sure.

You know I just read this over and I laughed out loud at the thots of you being in quarantine with the influenza & some one having to read this out loud to you. I forgot that I was sitting up in front of the Assembly and I'd like to have never got my original shade of complexion back again. I don't mean to insinuate that I'd laugh with you having influenza. That thought does lack unity.

Live is as exciting as ever in Biwabik. I'm still kidding myself and hope to last through out the entire year. The kids are raising H. in here but I don't want to over tax myself any at this vital moment.

Bells!!!

Later!

Done! (as Betty would say)

I feel muchly relieved. I hope every one going into the Rest Room will wear their gas masks.

Must close for now. Having been looking for a letter form many days.

Much love

Leone
