There are twelve of us left at the Club and believe me - I&#039;m laying it on good. Our turkey looks grand. She is planning to come back by Jan. 1. I miss her a thousand times more than I did Ariel [sic] last year.<br /> <br /> Got a fine letter from Evelyn - her father nearly died with the flu followed by pneumonia. She said Doris Markley met Hanford McNider on the street in Paris just as each were hurrying for a different train. He grabbed her in his arms - was never so glad to see any one - good grabbing for Hanford eh? Wonder if he kissed her. Gee I&#039;m getting sentimental now so must calm down a bit.<br /> <br /> Your letter sure did make me laugh.
